I have had this guy in the back of my mind for several years.

Upon running across the dough slicer that now forms the tail section of the piece it was launched!

That mounted to a vintage shoe form that now serves as the main body and head along with several meat tongs and a pasta strainer pulled from my own kitchen help to finish out the body and wings.

A splash of blue and green “feathers” are created from an old iron handle that has been worn to a patina that can never be replicated and was seemingly just meant for this piece.

All of this comes together to create a piece that is truly one of a kind with the whimsy worthy of its title!
