Guadalupe Bass
Guadalupe Bass
This one has many names depending on the region or waterway it may be found. be it Guadalupe Bass, Rock Bass etc…
This particular piece is styled after the Guadalupe Bass which can be found in Southern Texas waterways (hence the name).
This species is generally presents with more of a brown/tannish color scheme rather than their northern counterparts who are of the traditional greenish hues.
Working with that and, at the time beginning to venture more into the use of wood and brass materials, this one has taken that color scheme. Using finely patinaed wooden spatulas along with vintage brass drawer pulls in combination with brass petals from a stunning ‘70’s peacock wall piece this one definitely takes on the colors of the species found in the region of South Texas.
Please contact me for further description or if I can answer and questions on my work in general or on this particular piece.
Thanks,
Jason
