Boot Jack Salmon
Boot Jack Salmon
The Boot Jack Salmon, another in the fish series, is named for the piece creating the structure of its tail.
I ran across an old “Boot Jack” named for its use in easing the removal of one’s boots after a long day I guess.
Either way, I found it to be the perfect starting point for the formation of this piece.
I then, when in kind of a different phase, ran with using a good deal of plastics and painted metals in the piece. Many of these items are from the mid-Century era and are quite vibrant in their opacity.
All that put together creates a vibrant and colorful piece that could accent a minimalist décor or a very contemporary setting all the same.
Please contact me for further description or if I can answer and questions on my work in general or on this particular piece.
Thanks,
Jason
